Things I Bought In January
Here we are, we have finally made it to January 45th so it seems. The end of the longest month of the year in my opinion, and winter has finally arrived in Chicago. This month we have been reading a lot, cooking a lot of cozy recipes, moving our bodies in ways that feel good, and seeing a lot of friends. This month I got a few necessities for the girls, some cute clothes for Maeve, Marley and myself. I also FINALLY bought new makeup for myself in hopes of coming up with a simple daily routine (spoiler alert: I love everything I got).
I normally hate mascara and I hate trying to wash it off, but this is so different from anything I have used before. It just rolls off your lashes when you use regular face wash, but stays on really well. I don’t understand, but I love it.
A friend turned me on to this makeup brand, which is Bobbi Brown’s clean beauty line. It is incredible and I love everything I got. The foundation feels more like moisturizer, and the miracle balm is so great for a quick glow.
A cheap, boxy, but not too baggy tshirt. The best kind of tshirt.
The first bikini without padding on top that I love. The fabric is very thick and nice and I feel like I could run around the beach with kids in this.
I bought these for the girls and they are our favorites! They don’t slip down and are actually nonslip (Marley tested and approved).
Protein Powder:
This peanut butter protein powder is perfect for smoothies or shakes. I also like to mix it with chocolate protein powder if I am just mixing it with almond milk in a shaker.
I bought these cardigans for Maeve because she wants a “pretty sweater” over everything these days. Diva.
Studio McGee for Target is such a good collection and when I found this, I immediately tossed it in my cart. It’s really good in person.
I love real flowers, but in the dead of winter, I got this to add a little “life” to our shelves.
This is on Maeve’s shelves for her play jewelry and princess tiara, again, she is a little diva.
