The Best Gifts for Toddlers 2024

Toddlers are the busiest people I have ever met. They have so many interests and such a short attention span. Enter: all the toys that have kept my toddlers very busy and in turn kept me sane. Here are the best gifts for toddlers this holiday season.

Nugget: This is the best toy for early standers, to crazy climbers, to creative toddlers and preschoolers wanting to make forts or just use their imagination. Ours has become a car, a boat, a plane, a house, a crib, and so many other things. This is at the very top of my list for an open ended toy that lasts for years.

Kitchen: We have the Ikea kitchen and this is another toy our girls have played with since Maeve got it on her first birthday. This one is SO affordable and adorable. I love how this one allows kids to play from either side of the kitchen (less fighting over who stands where).

Play to go: We also have these and they are such a great idea for travel or play on the go.

Tonies: This has made it on my gift guides every year for the past few years because it is so good. The little figures are magnetic, go on the top of the speakbox, and play stories and music. This thing also is indestructible if your toddler drops it on the floor.

Baby doll: This is the age when little ones start to become obsessed with taking care of things and a baby doll is the perfect gift.

Baby equipment: If you get a baby doll, they are going to need all the supplies to run a daycare.

Sit and spin: A more beautiful, sturdy version of the old plastic favorite. Spinner to the rescue when your toddler needs to get out crazy energy indoors.

Warmies: The girls each have one of these and they are so comforting. They are like those neck pillows that are filled with lavender rice. You can warm them up in the microwave or you can also just use it as a weighted stuffed animal.

Horse stable: Toddlers love putting things in a certain spot and organizing their toys. They also love animals, so here is a great combination of those two things.

Ice cream shop: This probably gets used every single day in our house and it still looks brand new. All of these wooden toys hold up so well and are not terrible to put on a shelf in your living room if you don’t have a playroom.

Sensory table: We have the Ikea sensory table, but this is a great option. I actually love that this one has a place to put coloring supplies in the center without having to lift the tabletop pieces.

Play food: If you get the kitchen, you must fill it with food. We have had a few different brands of play food and this is the very best that we have found.

Stepping stones: This is another great open ended toy (are you seeing a theme here?). Our girls use them for obstacle courses, water play, building igloos outside, color sorting, spinning on their bottoms, and cribs for stuffed animals.
